Open Door Policy
Miss Polly's Kindergarten has an open door policy where you, the Parents are always welcome. Our prospective Parents are invited to visit the Kindergarten between the hours of 10.00am‑ 11.30am or 1.30pm- 3.00pm with your child/children, for an informal visit and the collection of our brochure and application form.
Once the completed application form and deposit of £100.00 for full time or £80.00 for part time has been received, your child's name will be placed on the waiting list, of which £50.00 or £40.00 respectively is refundable against payment of your child's first month's fees. The excess is retained to cover administrative costs. Once a child's place is confirmed, a mutual start date will be arranged.
Prior to your child's start with us, you would be expected to visit with your child on at least two occasions between 10.30am and 11.30am or 1.30pm till 2.30pm. This will enable you and your child to become familiar with the staff, surroundings and structure of the day; this will help your child to settle successfully. It also provides an excellent opportunity to ask any questions you may have or any further information you may require.
We operate a keyperson system for all children and on your visits to us you will be introduced to your child's keyperson. This close working relationship is the key to a successful partnership and will be encouraged throughout the time your child is with us. During your visits you will be able to pass on all the information about your child and their needs to enable us to care for your child. If you wish to terminate your child's time with us at the Kindergarten we require you to give a full month's notice or one month's fees in lieu of notice.
